The Lower Frequencies
“...The most topical and incredible show you will encounter this year.” — Immediate Theatre Project | 2016
“...A highly entertaining and disturbing hour...” — Jill Kaufman, NEPR | 2015
“...A TREMENDOUS WORK OF THEATER... It is raw and beautiful and even funny at some moments. Just go.” — Connie Congdon, Playwright, Author, Professor | 2015
Bryce Monroe is a rising artist, actor, and musician hailing from D.C.
A renaissance man of sorts.
With a growing catalog of original work, Bryce is on a path to establish himself as a tour-de-force in music, on the stage, and on the screen. The Lower Frequencies, the transformative one-man-show of which he is the writer, actor, and producer, debuted to great acclaim in a three night run at the Holden Experimental Theater of Amherst College in April 2015 and performed its revival in a three night sold-out run in the Powerhouse in September 2015. In the fall of 2016, the The Lower Frequencies began it’s national tour from coast to coast with features with the North Carolina Stage Company, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, and finally making its DC debut in the DC Black Theatre Festival in the summer of 2017. This production also raised donations in support of the great work of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) and helped fund efforts to provide clean water to the residents of Flint, Michigan.
Bryce is a student of his craft and aspires to create art that transcends culture and engages audiences across the globe.
